Amhult Church

Thanks to the modern clock tower it is possible to identify the building as a church even from a distance.

The modern and flexible design of Amhult Church provides scope for trying out new types of activities for the future.

When Amhult Church was to be built on Hisingen in Gothenburg the aim was to create a vibrant church that encouraged social interaction – something that the large church square now promotes.

The church was designed by Sweco, commissioned by the Church of Sweden in Gothenburg for the Torslanda-Björlanda parish, and the interior was realised by Input interior. One of the biggest challenges in this project was how best to black out the beautiful window in the church when required.
