If
When the employees of If step into the Turku office, they meet an interior of natural colours, iconic design, and sustainable products that will last for generations to come.
People’s well-being is part of everyday life at the insurance company If. When we enter the newly-renovated first floor of the office in Turku, we are welcomed by an interior of warm colours and natural materials that convey calmness and well-being.
Earthy colours in sofas and poufs are mixed with light woods in chairs, tables, and panels. Classics such as Armchair 402 and Domus Lounge Chair, designed by Alvar Aalto and Ilmari Tapiovaara, are a few of the products in the interior. The armchairs were designed in the 30s and 40s give employees the opportunity for more informal encounters.
Sigge Architects, who designed the interior for the first floor, have mixed design classics with quality products from Input interior’s wide range to create an inspiring work environment. The design reflects If’s new interior concept, and the common denominator is long-term choices with the possibility of reconditioning.
“Everything from conference tables and work chairs to lighting and storage has been selected with sustainability in mind. When a piece of furniture needs to be washed, varnished, or redressed, it is the first option”, says Jouni Kyllönen, Account Manager at Input Interior, and continues:
“We are proud to be able to contribute with our expertise to create a workplace that conveys well-being and long-term perspective. We always advocate conscious choices and are happy that If has chosen furniture that stands the test of time.”
