Input interior awarded sustainability prize
It has now been confirmed that Input interior will receive the first edition of the Virke Sustainability Award. “I am so proud! We are being rewarded for our hard work over a long period of time - this shows that it is worth it and receiving this award is a great recognition, says Terje Kristiansen”, COO Input interior Norway.
In early September, the Norwegian trade and employers’ organisation Virke announced that it would be awarding its own sustainability prize for the first time this year. Three companies – Input interior, Ahlsell and Bergans Fritid were nominated for the prize, which will be awarded to a company that is leading the way towards a sustainable future.
On 19 September, Virke organised the trade conference and a number of familiar faces were present. Among them were Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Norway’s Minister of Trade and Industry Cecilie Myrseth and Telia’s Chairman Lars-Johan Jarnheimer.
“Choice of path was the theme of the day. It was very inspiring to hear insights from people in other parts of the industry and how they work in their business”, says Terje Kristiansen, COO Input interior Norway.
As the day drew to a close, the Virke Sustainability Award was to be presented and in the end it was Input Interior that drew the longest straw, becoming the first company to receive the award.
“I am so proud! We are being rewarded for our hard work over a long period of time – this shows that it is worth it and receiving this award is a great recognition,” says Terje Kristiansen and continues:
“First and foremost, it is a recognition and something that gives motivation and inspiration to all our employees. We hope that we can inspire our customers, suppliers and partners to join us on the continued journey forward!”
