A sure sign of spring
In March every year, Vårmässan offers a refreshing injection of inspiration! Industry professionals come here to find new influences and view the latest trends and the year’s design and interior innovations.
The trend factor is high when southern and western Sweden’s biggest fair for design and interiors takes up residence in Malmö and Gothenburg. Over two days, new products for the year and a selection of the best pieces from Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair are presented to an invited audience of industry professionals. Interior architects and buyers for private and public enterprises come together and are challenged by new ideas and perspectives.
“The aim has always been to invite visitors into the world of the interior design industry. It allows you to touch and examine furniture, lighting and textiles from almost 80 brands, and visitors get the chance to experience colours, textures and materials. That’s where the fair makes a difference,” says Johan Olsson, one of the project managers behind Vårmässan and Marketing Coordinator at Input interior.
Variation – a success factor
For almost 20 years, Vårmässan has succeeded in maintaining its popularity. This success, according to visitors, seems to be down to the variety being showcased within a condensed area. Impressions, new products and inspiration geared to industry professionals are maximised over the course of a few hours, but in many cases influence both purchasing and projects over the next year.
“It’s great that the fair highlights design for public environments, as no one else does that here. I am involved in purchasing and it helps me to create a pleasing and sustainable activity and workplace. I get the chance to see and try out the latest products and get tips and ideas to take back with me,” says Andreas Forsberg, who works as school manager at Ellen Keyskolan in Gothenburg and who has attended the past 10 fairs in Gothenburg.
Food, flowers and shopping
Every year just over 2,300 people visit Input interior’s Vårmässor fairs to experience the breadth, diversity and mix that aims to attract both private and public enterprises. They offer not just something, but a lot, for everyone. The fair is topped off with good food and drink from Input Food Market, fresh spring flowers, music and shopping opportunities at Vårmässan’s pop-up design shop.
