DICE

The interior of the office draws inspiration from some of the award-winning games developed by DICE.

The new head office of video game developer DICE on Södermalm in Stockholm was Sweden’s best-looking office in 2016.

Studio Stockholm Arkitektur was commissioned to create the most attractive and inspiring workplace for game developers from around the world. The anonymous premises chosen by DICE for their relocation would be transformed into an office worthy of a world-leading game development studio. Demands for security were high and an area of 15,000 m2 would be organised and streamlined under a tight deadline.

The result was a creative and flexible workplace that promotes innovation, knowledge, participation and productivity. The project was voted as one of five finalists in the contest for Sweden’s best-looking office, with the jury, headed by Gert Wingårdh, ultimately naming DICE the winner, based on the following justification:

An attractive office is primarily an office that suits and reflects the activity being conducted within – an office that enables the business to evolve. Companies that stand out should naturally have an office that stands out. This year’s winner exudes playfulness, creativity, innovation and courage. Courage to test new solutions that both visually and functionally reflect the company’s ambitions to be a world-leader at what they do. This is an office for a company willing and daring to go big.

Input interior served as project manager for the delivery and carried out installation of the new furniture in the office. A large and exciting project with certain challenges.

A worthy winner

“It has been a spectacular project. The environments are really great and DICE feels like a worthy winner of Sweden’s best-looking office. We have supplied the furniture floor by floor and the timetable for installation in certain sections of the office has been tight due to the large volume of technology being installed at the same time, but we handled it. DICE has continuously seen solutions and possibilities instead of obstacles,” says Elina Widegren, Project Manager at Input interior.
