Russell Reynolds
With a view over the rooftops of Stockholm and the lush Kungsträdgården and just seven floors above Regeringsgatan, you’ll find the Executive Search and the Assessment firm Russell Reynolds’ Associates Office. Here, visitors are welcomed with a picturesque feeling.
The sober colors in Russel Reynold’s Entrance capture the enormous incoming light from the entirely glazed facade. Here you simply step straight into a welcoming ”Office Gallery”.
– We developed The Office Gallery-concept for Russell Reynolds: A welcoming and exclusive office that shall fascinate and captivate new employees. The premises will be modern with attractive common workspaces, explains Isabella Birke, an interior designer at Strategisk Arkitektur who has helped shape the vision of the premises.
Visitors are faced with an L-shaped corridor where there was indeed no need to utilize the surface for anything solely functional. Instead, they focused on creating an elegant and expressive feeling in the room. Art, austere furniture and beautiful lighting all contribute to this appeasing gallery atmosphere.
The office is divided into two sections. The first section is the public gallery where you find the reception and meeting-rooms. The second section is internal and it contains working- rooms and common-spaces for employees.
Russell Reynolds Associates is an international Executive search and assessment firm with businesses in 46 locations all around the world and just in Stockholm there are 35 persons. In order to accentuate the functionality of the office, 90 percent of the employees sit in their own rooms within the internal section where textiles and wall-to-wall carpeting are used to stimulate a warm and cozy surrounding.
– Creating functional and comfortable meeting places have become extra vital for the community in an office where most people sit in their own working-rooms. We have concentrated the meeting places to the lounge, with its own kitchenette. Here you get to sit in a corner and enjoy the city’s best view. Perfect for recreation, lunch or an after work, says Isabella Birke.
Variant and natural materials such as cotton, wool, linen, stone and wood together with muted colors dominate the internal section of the office. Together with those prominent glass panels, harmony is nurtured between the hard and the soft sections.
Input interior has led the project procurement, deliveries and installation for Russel Reynolds. According to Sandra Björkqvist, a sales representative and project manager at Input interior, the project has a lot of character and several different parts that stand out.
– Each piece of furniture has been hand-picked for the customer and over 30 different suppliers have been appointed, which is unusual for a project of this size. But this also provides an appealing design where each room has its own trait and character.
