Aleksi 15 in central Helsinki has been a hub for commerce and business for almost a century and a half. HappySignals, a measurer and identifier of employee happiness, expectations and productivity data, has found a new home for its growing team here.

HappySignals was looking for airy, new premises, in which new and changed ways of working were taken into account. The property at Aleksi 15 fitted the needs of the company perfectly and the interior architects at Fyra were commissioned to design an office that would suit the needs of its employees.

“The new office exceeds all of our expectations. It strongly illustrates our company profile and welcomes personnel both old and new, just the way we want. The end result is inviting and homelike, the only thing missing is the scent of home-made pastries in the morning,” explains Ilkka Malva, Chief Happiness Officer at Happy Signals.

Like many other companies, HappySignals has had to adjust to new ways of working. In addition to traditional workstations, different ways of meeting with colleagues and customers are a major focus, as remote working is to some extent here to stay. The office has numerous tailored spaces for different ways of working, for example, a studio has been built for video and podcast recording needs.

“Communal spaces were given lots of careful thought during the planning process, and the homely atmosphere creates warmth throughout the entire office space,” says interior architect Niina Ojutkangas from Fyra’s design team.

Input interior was responsible for ordering, delivering and assembling the new interior.

“Co-operation between HappySignals, Fyra and Input interior functioned well and it was great to be a part of this project and deliver interiors for such a historic building,” says project manager Janne Härmä from Input interior in Helsinki.
