The team behind award-winning restaurant PM & Vänner has developed Scandinavia’s first gastro hotel – PM & Vänner Hotel.

With 74 unique rooms and suites, a rooftop bar, rooftop pool and award-winning restaurant and a wine cellar, PM & Vänner Hotel offers a distinct international touch in the heart of Växjö.

“Most hotels have hotel restaurants. We, on the other hand, have built a hotel that revolves around our existing restaurants and our wine cellar – a gastro hotel. Many of our restaurant patrons travel long distances and we can now ensure that their entire stay delivers the same philosophy and feel,” explains Per Bengtsson, one of the two founders of PM & Vänner.

Locally produced and rich in detail

Visitors can experience Småland in everything from the ingredients in the restaurant to the furnishings, choice of materials and artwork. A large percentage of the interior furnishings come from well-known local design companies such as Stolab, Sjögrens and, slightly further afield, Kasthall and Wästberg.

“Input interior has been with us from day one and steered us in the right direction. They know how we think and have co-ordinated all the details. A hotel room alone consists of over 100 details, so it has been hugely important to have a reliable partner,” says Per.
